 Tamalpais Walking: Poetry, History and Prints (9.5 x12, 144 pages) A collaboration between poet Gary Snyder and artist Tom Killion. The book includes 60 Killion images of the mountain in Marin County, California, woven with poems by Snyder, Lew Welch and Kenneth Rexroth, an essay by Snyder on his personal experience of walking Tamalpais over many decades, and two essays by Killion exploring the poetry and preservation of Tamalpais as a "walking world." In size, design and themes this book is a companion to Killion and Snyder's widely acclaimed "The High Sierra of California."
