"Minarets Crest" (2022)
This view from the Mt. Elektra/Mt. Ansel Adams ridge on the SW border of Yosemite NP, looking East at sunset, with alpenglow on the Minarets and a lightning storm behind, was sketched by Killion in September 2015. He carved the blocks in early 2022 and completed the printing in mid-April. Four color blocks with an extra sky layer and the key block make this a 6-color print. Special pressure printing make-ready on the cylinder tympan produced the glow around the chain lightning.
